Jacob Zuma must back up his election promises with substance

Teachers, nurses and police officers are a vital part of building a better future for South Africa, and they deserve to be paid better for the work they do. But ANC President, Jacob Zuma, must put his money where his mouth in promising to pay them more. If this promise is going to be credible, he must start showing exactly where he is going to start cutting the fat from the government he intends to lead next year. He must also explain how he plans to stop the complacency in government circles which stops many good policies in their tracks. (more…)

DA calls for urgent action to divert children out of prisons
