Today, the DA-led City of Johannesburg took the first step to bringing hope, by finally bringing light to Kliptown Extension 11.
The city is investing R5 million to bring electricity and light to Soweto’s oldest community, connecting the 200 homes that are currently being built as part of Phase 3.
No longer will the children of Kliptown have to fear dark streets, have to do their homework by candlelight or residents have to cook on paraffin stoves.
