Administrative Assistant - General KZN - Provincial Office

The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance’s KZN Provincial office. We are looking to recruit a talented, self-motivated and goal driven individual for this position, reporting directly to the Provincial Director. The successful incumbent should meet the following requirements:

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Matric
  • PC Literacy essential
  • Previous administrative experience essential
  • Fully bilingual

  • To provide effective and efficient administrative assistance to the Provincial Director in the Provincial Office
  • Develop, implement and maintain administrative systems
  • General Management of the Office Administration
  • Administer and manage the PDMS for the Public Representatives where required
  • Assist with updates to Quidity where required

CHIEF OF STAFF IN THE OFFICE OF THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE FEDERAL COUNCIL

The Democratic Alliance (DA) is seeking to appoint a Chief of Staff in the office of the Chairperson of the Federal Council, based at the DA’s parliamentary offices in Cape Town. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chairperson of the Federal Council. Candidates should meet the following requirements:

 

Requirements:

·         Must believe in the vision, principles and programme of action of the DA

·         Must have a good understanding of the DA’s vision of realising an open, opportunity society for all in South Africa

·         Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Must be systematic, comprehensive and display excellent attention to detail

·         Must be outcomes-oriented

·         Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·         Must be prepared to work long and irregular hours

·         Must be computer literate

Key result areas:

·         To establish effective communication strategies for the distribution and dissemination of decisions made and policies made by federal structures of the party

·         To oversee all administrative and logistical arrangements for all federal meetings

·         To assist the Chairperson of the Federal Council in taking action as a result of various decisions that are made

·         To assist the Chairperson of the Federal Council in liaising with structures of the party

·         To assist the Chairperson with the drafting, reporting and researching of policies, procedures and regulations

·         Overall, to assist the Chairperson of the Federal Council in the effective carrying out of his duties
