Regional Administrator -Western Cape East

The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance. The DA is looking to recruit a self-motivated and goal driven individual for this position, reporting to the Regional Manager.
 

The successful incumbent should meet the following requirements:
 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  •  Excellent communication skills
  •  Previous admin experience essential
  •  Computer Literacy essential
  •  Proficiency in more than one language advantageous.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  • To provide effective and efficient administrative assistance to the Regional Manager.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Organising and managing meetings of the Region;
  • Keeping detailed and correct minutes of all such meetings;
  • General management of the office administration in the Region;
  • Producing Administrative Management reports on a monthly basis;
  • Maintenance of various contracts in force for equipment, buildings etc.;
  • Designing, implementing and maintenance administrative systems and procedures for the effective operations of both the Region;
  • Assisting with the design, implementation and maintenance of a communication system between all formations of the Party;
  • Assisting in the co-ordination of the administrative and organisational functions;
  • Liaison with offices, constituencies and branches on an organisation and membership level;
  • Designing, implementing and maintenance of an effective filing system both in hard copyand electronic format;
  • Assisting with the organisation and management of Provincial/Regional Campaign events asand when they happen;
  • Getting booking facilities for meetings (in place) as required;
  • Ensuring that party records are safeguarded and not compromised;
  • Ensuring that computer data is backed up and is recoverable;
  • Producing relevant reports as required by the REC as well as any other structures within the party;
  • Assisting Constituencies and other Party formations during elections; by-elections and registration campaigns and events;
  • Receive and distribute applicable correspondence and official documentation;
  • Arranging for Constituencies to attend various events, and managing arrangements in respect of the events;
  •  Assisting with documentation for elections.
