Getting to know Bea Campbell-Cloete

Your candidate, Bea Campbell-Cloete, is a proud resident of Randburg. She started her career in politics in 2016 whilst being employed at AngloGold Ashanti Head Office in Newtown, where she was a Business Process Specialist. As a councillor, she worked in some of the country’s most dysfunctional municipalities.

Bea is a published writer, was a radio and TV presenter and loves gardening. She says her greatest accomplishment in life is her two daughters.

“I lived and worked in Ward 102 over the years, and my daughters went to school in Randburg. My family have had business interests here. Seeing the deterioration absolutely breaks my heart. My Priorities:

Improved Communication:

Honest communication is key. Clearer feedback on reported issues, consistent follow-up, and stronger escalation of service delivery problems. Large infrastructure repairs and systemic changes take longer as they depend on City budgets, contractors, and departmental timelines. Honest communication about these realities is essential.

Service Delivery:

Service delivery failures are one of the most important issues, especially roads, potholes, stormwater, electricity and outstanding reinstatements. I will fight for the resolution of these issues.

Public Safety:

Public safety and law enforcement, which includes by-law enforcement, is essential to restore confidence and wellbeing in residents. I will fight to clamp down on illegal dumping, billboards, vagrancy and hijacked properties.

Local Economy:

Through stakeholder partnerships, I will fight to improve the local economy through working with businesses, promoting our ward and ensuring our sport and recreation facilities are protected.

Jou kandidaat, Bea Campbell-Cloete, is ’n trotse inwoner van Randburg. Sy het haar loopbaan in die politiek in 2016 begin terwyl sy by die hoofkantoor van AngloGold Ashanti in Newtown werksaam was as ’n Besigheidsprosesse-spesialis. As raadslid het sy in van die land se mees wanfunksionele munisipaliteite gewerk.

Bea is ’n gepubliseerde skrywer, was ’n radio- en TV-aanbieder en is lief vir tuinmaak. Sy sê haar grootste prestasie in die lewe is haar twee dogters.

“Ek het oor die jare in Wyk 102 gewoon en gewerk, en my dogters het in Randburg skoolgegaan. My familie het hier sakebelange gehad. Om die agteruitgang te sien, breek my hart. Saam kan en móét ons, as die inwoners en leierskap van hierdie wyk, veg om dit weer voortreflik te maak.” – Bea Campbell-Cloete

My Prioriteite:

Verbeterde Kommunikasie:

Eerlike kommunikasie is die sleutel. Duideliker terugvoer oor aangemelde kwessies, konsekwente opvolg en sterker eskalering van diensleweringsprobleme. Groot infrastruktuurherstelwerk en sistemiese veranderinge neem langer omdat dit van die Stad se begrotings, kontrakteurs en departementele tydlyne afhang. Eerlike kommunikasie oor hierdie werklikhede is noodsaaklik.

Dienslewering:

Diensleweringsmislukkings is van die belangrikste kwessies, veral paaie, slaggate, stormwater, elektrisiteit en uitstaande herstelwerk. Ek sal veg vir die oplossing van hierdie probleme.

Openbare Veiligheid:

Openbare veiligheid en wetstoepassing, wat ook die toepassing van verordeninge insluit, is noodsaaklik om vertroue en welstand by inwoners te herstel. Ek sal veg om onwettige storting, onwettige reklameborde en gekaapte eiendomme te bekamp.

Plaaslike Ekonomie:

Deur vennootskappe met belanghebbendes sal ek veg om die plaaslike ekonomie te verbeter deur saam met besighede te werk, ons wyk te bevorder en te verseker dat ons sport- en ontspanningsgeriewe beskerm word.
