In yet another example of the faith and trust that South Africans have in the Democratic Alliance, voters in Ward 4 Prince Albert yesterday voted for the DA to take not only ward 4, but also for Prince Albert to become the first Central Karoo municipality to be governed outright by the DA.

This victory is a clear indication of the trust rural voters have in the DA.

It marks a turning point, not only for the Prince Albert Municipality, but also for the rest of the Central Karoo.

In essence, the DA was competing against three parties after the ANC and the Patriotic Alliance threw their weight behind the KGP.

The DA won the ward with 50.60% of the vote against the 48.49% of the KGP, once again showing how every vote counts.

The DA has a proven track record of clean governance and excellent service delivery where we govern, and Prince Albert will be a shining example of what the DA can bring to the rest of the Central Karoo.

The DA would like to congratulate Margy Jaftha on her election as the new DA councillor in ward 4. We are confident that she will work hard to bring quality service delivery and good governance to her community.
