Bergrivier Local Municipality aims to meet the needs of its community and provide services to all 4 407 square kilometres and 56 000 people in the community, be they in Redelinghuys, Eendekuil, Aurora, Velddrif, Porterville, Pijetberg, Dwarskersbos, Laaiplek, Goedverwacht or Wittewater. Bergrivier has a zero tolerance approach to corruption, as evidenced by its clean 2015/16 audit and is one of the top three best-run municipalities in the country according to Good Governance Africa’s 2016 Government Performance Index.
