Bergrivier municipality invests in the future of its youth

The DA-led Bergrivier municipality has invested in the future of its youth by assisting 27 students with funding to further their education.

Every year the municipality awards funds, allocated for in its budget, to students across the municipal area as a contribution to their tuition at tertiary institutions. This year, the municipality assisted 27 students with their tuition in various disciplines by awarding R10 000 to each of them.

The successful candidates will be pursuing their qualifications in a variety of disciplines, ranging from; Bachelor of Commerce in Law to Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery as well as a National Diploma in Engineering Services.

Executive mayor Ray Van Rooi said that the Bergrivier municipality will continue to serve the youth and create such opportunities for them as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
