City celebrates Biodiversity staff on World Ranger Day

31 Jul 2021 in Where We Govern

31 July 2021 marks World Ranger Day, a day to celebrate the work Rangers do to protect the world’s natural and cultural heritage! The City would like to thank all of the City of Cape Town Rangers within the Environmental Management Department for their commitment and absolute passion for the work that they do out in the field. Thank you for being the guardians of our natural environment at our City Nature Reserves and surrounds!

The City of Cape Town employs over 100 Rangers, these include: Senior and junior Field Rangers; operational staff; drivers; Assistant Conservation Officers; Reserve Supervisors and Biodiversity Area Coordinators.
