Midvaal Local Municipality today unveiled a fleet of 14 brand-new vehicles that will be used towards improving service delivery across the municipality.
This is part of Midvaal’s strategy to renew its fleet collection whilst ensuring that we respond better to service delivery challenges.
The 14 vehicles will be strategically allocated to key service departments such as Public Safety and Roads, Community Services and Engineering Services.
The vehicles will be used for waste collection, fire and emergency services, as well as increasing traffic safety and efficiency on the roads.
The vehicle allocated to Social Services will be used for increased indigent assessments, monitoring of ECD centres, home visits and burial assessments.
The municipality is currently considering purchasing an additional 36 vehicles over the next three years to enhance our response rate to any delivery challenges while reducing operational costs.
