The DA wishes to appoint dynamic, self-motivated and goal driven individual, who will be based in Gqeberha. The successful candidate will report to the Caucus Chief Whip and the Provincial Finance Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring effective and efficient functioning of the following in Eastern Cape Legislature Caucus:
o Performing the full financial accounting function
o Providing financial administrative assistance and filing of records
o Assisting with checking and processing of all MPL and Legislature staff travel claims
- Assisting with supplier management and procurement of equipment for the Eastern Cape Legislature Caucus
- Ensuring that all payment requisitions are processed on the electronic payment requisition system
Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- 3 years’ bookkeeping experience
- Experience in Pastel Accounting
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Ability to oversee and manage budgets
- Excellent organisational, record keeping and administrative abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- An ability to work effectively and energetically around a demanding work schedule
- Commitment to the principles, policies, and program of action of the Democratic Alliance
- Willingness to go the extra mile, which include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary
