The DA wishes to appoint a dynamic, self-motivated and goal-driven individual in our unit responsible for Leadership Development, International Office and Stakeholder Relations. The successful candidate will be based at our Federal Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the Project Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing effective and efficient administrative and logistical support to the Project Manager and the department
- Coordinating functions, projects and programmes that support the DA as a learning organisation
- Ensuring effective communication between the department and all its stakeholders
- Ensuring effective record-keeping and reporting of department activities
- Responding to internal and external queries
- Supporting the department in reaching all of its objectives
Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Relevant qualification advantageous
- 2 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Experience in basic financial management
- Project coordination experience advantageous
- Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with email and scheduling software
- Knowledge of standard office practices, including scheduling, correspondence, and reporting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Excellent administrative skills
- Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail
- Outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated
- Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
- Willingness to go the extra mile, which include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary
