DA-run Cape Town opens new 300-bed shelter for the homeless
DA-run City of Cape Town, Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, opens the City’s newest 300-bed Safe Space shelter, taking a significant step in addressing homelessness in the CBD.
Located in Green Point, this is the fifth Safe Space opened by the City, bringing the total bed count to 1,070 across these facilities.
This initiative is part of a larger plan to help individuals off the streets, reintegrate into society, and reunite with family.
