As part of the mayoral committee that made Midvaal the best-run municipality in Gauteng and amongst the top 5 municipalities in South Africa, new Executive Mayor Peter Teixeira intimately knows the many challenges and opportunities that awaits him.
Peter joined the DA in 2014 and gained political traction when he was elected as a ward councillor, served on three mayoral committees, and was selected as the DA’s constituency leader in Midvaal.
Peter told IOL: “Midvaal is our home. Our future in Midvaal depends on these five key initiatives we commit to undertake: investing in safety and security for all people of Midvaal; creating opportunities for all; providing excellent service delivery; solving challenges through innovation and creativity; and listening to the people we serve is non-negotiable.”
