Water outages and mismanagement in the uThukela District Municipality continuously brings basic water delivery to a halt and pose a massive threat to the local economy, the housing market and job creation. Health services are in constant risk, as taps in hospitals run dry unannounced. Residents rights to access clean water are not realized on a daily basis.
