“I have a dream of a better South Africa for my family, friends and our community.”
– Elsie Vermooten, Ward 14 DA candidate
My priorities:
- Illegal dumping: I will create a culture of combined community participation and responsibility through education and visibility drives. Every person has the right to live in a clean area.
- Streetlights: I will do continuous streetlight audits and drive the issue. I will work with the municipality and ensure that there is enough provision on the IDP to address the matter.
- Refuse removal: I will drive this issue in the council to ensure that this service improves and done timeously.
- Service delivery: The infrastructure in Ward 14 is outdated, and causes a lot of service delivery issues. I will work with the municipality to make more provision for this on the IDP and that service delivery is improved and streamlined.
I want to make our ward a place that every resident can be proud off.
