Getting to know Dawie Harman 

Dawie is your DA candidate, he is a proud resident of Carletonville for the past 37 years. 

He started his career in 1982 as a men’s barber in Zeerust. From 1992 to 1996, he was a Marketer for Sanlam. He then joined Hyundai in 1996. He is currently the owner of Dawie Manshaarkapper (Men’s Barber). 

He was CPF Chairperson and patrol commander from 2011 to 2018. 

He is actively involved with clean-up projects in the ward. He has a passion for the well-being of people. He is also actively involved in community safety initiatives, fighting crime and safeguarding of substations.

MY PRIORITIES:

Housing: I will assist all the vulnerable residents to access grants, indigent status and assist with housing issues, especially in Eureka Park. I will commit to visiting our elderly residents in our old age homes and try to assist them with issues they might experience. 

Community wellbeing: Drug abuse is a big problem in our ward. I will work with our local CPF and NGO role players to identify the problem areas and do my best to eradicate the problem. 

Service delivery: I will work closely with the municipality to ensure that every resident receives only the best services. I will follow up on all complaints that have been reported and give our residents feedback with the outcome.
