Rand West - Ward 6

Getting to know Martin Brown

Martin has lived in Randfontein for most of his life, spending most of his time in Ward 6.

He is an IT professional and the father of two boys. He has been very active in the community through various DA-led initiatives, where he participated in events to improve the area for his family and neighbours.

His goal as a Ward Councillor is to restore Ward 6 to its former glory, including the stadium and Riebeeck Lake.

Martin and his two sons are always willing to assist the community with local cleanups and support the Democratic Alliance to build an open opportunity society for all South Africans.

My priorities:

Water:

As your representative, I am committed to making the Greenhills water tower my number one priority. Every resident deserves the assurance that when they turn their taps open, clean and safe drinking water will flow. This is not just a promise but a fundamental right that I will work tirelessly to uphold.

Environmental Improvement:

Fixing leaks and overflowing sewage in the area, which is damaging our local environment, spreading disease, and harming the residents of Ward 6.

Family:

Reviving the family-friendly atmosphere that once characterised Ward 6, bringing residents together to enjoy the natural beauty our Ward has to offer.
