Today, 6 May 2023, the Democratic Alliance (DA), as the Official Opposition in South Africa, extends our warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla on the occasion of the King’s Coronation.
The DA furthermore extends our warmest wishes to the people of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and all territories of the Commonwealth realm on this historic day.
Today’s Coronation represents a renewed opportunity for the on-going strengthening of bilateral relations between the United Kingdom and fellow members of the Commonwealth association of sovereign states with the South African people.
We are confident that His Majesty King Charles III will continue to be guided by the principles of justice and mercy in the execution of all of his duties and judgements.
