The details of the repair work are as follows:

  • Removing the existing surfacing from the sidewalk adjacent Minixi Drive
  • Supplying and laying new 30mm thick asphalt wearing course on the pavement
  • Gravel verge maintenance along Daiza Road to ensure adequate drainage of stormwater
  • Patch repairs along Minixi Drive and Daiza Road
  • An existing open drain will be shaped to improve drainage adjacent Daiza Road, close to the Stock Road intersection.

The proactive and preventative maintenance will be done to prolong the lifetime of the road. Minixi Drive and Daiza Road will be closed to two-way traffic. One lane will be completed before the contractor proceeds with the next lane. Flag personnel will direct traffic through temporary detours around the work area.

‘We would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during the course of this work. We promise to deliver quality work within the specified timeframes. This repair work will revive and prolong the lifespan of Minixi Drive and Daiza Road,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
