The Democratic Alliance has learned with great shock and sadness of the passing away, after a short illness, of Advocate Rodney De Kock, Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions and former Director of Public Prosecutions in the Western Cape.
Adv De Kock dedicated his life to serving South Africans as a “people’s lawyer” in the truest sense. A profoundly dedicated and decent man, his loss will be felt within the National Prosecuting Authority and the criminal justice system as a whole.
May his soul rest in peace. The DA extends sincerest condolences to the NPA and the family of Adv De Kock.
