The DA celebrates the outstanding work of the Western Cape Government, that delivers the best quality of life in South Africa, under the leadership of Premier Alan Winde, on his birthday today.
The Western Cape Government delivers. And it delivers because it is led by committed, hard-working and trailblazing individuals elected by voters who have chosen a government that delivers over the very dire alternative.
The DA celebrates that under the Premiership of Alan Winde, residents of the Western Cape benefit from the following:
- 850,000 people provided housing opportunities by the Western Cape Government, because the DA cares about residents in need having a home to call their own,
- Roads are tarred, and potholes filled, with 269,000 m2 of road tarring in 2025 alone,
- 90% of all people in newly created jobs in all of South Africa have been employed in the Western Cape, because the DA government gives everything it can to growing the economy,
- Six million residents receive free public WiFi, provided by the DA Western Cape Provincial Government,
- The highest ever Matric Pass Rate last year shows that in the education space Government programmes of extra teaching time, weekend classes and teacher train work,
- 63 new mobile clinics in 2025 alone began delivering brand new health services in communities in need,
These examples demonstrate that the DA government Premier Winde leads is delivering and working.
There is much to do to keep up this momentum of delivery, and the DA celebrates Premier Winde today as he gets this done.
