DA notes Tolashe request for the President to remove her

The DA notes that Minister Sisisi Tolashe is prepared to step down from office.

Tolashe has invited the President to remove her from office in the face of the mounting scandals around cars she received as donations from the Chinese Embassy, which she has gone to great length to hide or cover up.

Her invitation to the President must be taken seriously.

We call on President Ramaphosa to remove Minister Tolashe from office, failing which the DA will continue to use all mechanisms we have launched to hold her to account for this scandal and her irregular office appointments and overreach of powers.

This includes the DA’s parliamentary ethics complaints, our demand for a hearing in theportfolio committee, the public protector complaint we laid, and the serious criminal charges we laid yesterday.
