Today, I laid criminal charges of financial mismanagement against the Municipal Manager of Ditsobotla Local Municipality, Mr Olaotse Bojosinyane, and the Municipal Manager of Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, Mr Olehile Allan Loshaba.
Under Section 173(1) of the Municipal Financial Management Act, Mr Olaotse Bojosinyane, is criminally accountable for mismanagement. Ditsobotla should be a bustling agricultural and industrial hub, yet is bleeding jobs as the Municipality has for years failed at basic service delivery.
The DA is also charging, under the Municipal Financial Management Act, Mr Olehile Allan Loshaba of Ngaka Modiri Molema after being found personally liable for R5m by the Auditor General of South Africa for failures in issuing a dodgy water tanker contract and recouping funds from that contract.
Residents deserve a Party that will fight relentlessly for their needs, and the DA’s criminal charges against the Municipal Managers of Ditsobotla Local Municipality and Ngaka Modiri Molema do just that.
