Johannesburg is a city of incredible people and untapped potential.

Despite the neglect and decay brought on by years of mismanagement, the spirit of Johannesburg’s citizens has never been stronger. For every problem, there are active, determined citizens stepping up to find solutions. What they need is a mayor who will work with them – who will ensure that local government delivers the basic services it owes, and who will actively partner with residents to repair and rebuild our great city.

I pledge that if elected Mayor of Johannesburg, I will be that mayor.

From infrastructure breakdowns to service delivery failures, the challenges Joburg faces are serious – but they are solvable.

This campaign is about action. It’s about rolling up our sleeves and addressing Johannesburg’s problems with skill, urgency, and integrity. That means bringing in the right people – mechanical, civil, water, and electrical engineers – to assess and fix what’s broken. It means commissioning forensic and financial audits to root out corruption. And it means empowering “complex champions” within communities to lead change from the inside out.

It’s Time to Get Joburg Working Again

There’s a lot to be done – not just in the campaign, but from day one in office.

From repairing bridges to restoring essential services, from cleaning up our communities to reigniting opportunity, we will take on each challenge head-on. I will not wait. Joburg cannot wait.
