The eThekwini Municipality is on the brink of collapse. Crucial service delivery is at an all time low. Sewage flows freely through our streets and into our rivers and ocean. Refuse lies uncollected in our streets for days, whilst municipal workers embark on illegal strikes, or municipal infrastructure failures impede collection and transport. The electricity grid is severely compromised, and water delivery to many parts of city is failing on a daily basis. Residents and rate payers are at the mercy of an uncaring and incapable government in the city, and the Province. The DA in KZN has been fighting hard to turn this sinking ship around. Below is a brief timeline of our continued efforts over the last 6 months.
