The Junior City Council of Midvaal had a tremendous year during 2016. After their election in February the Junior Council, under the leadership of Junior Mayor Kara Pretorius from Hoërskool Dr. Malan, engaged in various activities. These activities included attending Midvaal Municipal Council meetings, having their own Junior Council meetings, attending the Midvaal State of the Municipality Address, engaging in a clothing drive and the Midvaal Street Store, collecting water during the drought, attending and participating in the Midvaal Youth Day celebrations, walking the Midvaal Fun Walk, attending The Global Leadership Summit and hosting an end of year Foam Party for primary scholars at the Midvaal Public Swimming Pool. The Foam and music was graciously sponsored by R&R Productions and Danie Ebersohn from Pesttech. More than one hundred kids attended this wonderful party where they were treated to hotdogs, cool drinks and a great bubbly foamy party. The Junior Council of Midvaal wishes all the youth of Midvaal a happy festive season and a prosperous 2017. We love you.
