The Langeberg Municipality has launched a project aimed at identifying and upskilling artists in the area. The Township Arts Development Project also plans to develop artistic capacity in townships and unlock tourism opportunities in these neighbourhoods.
This project, in collaboration with the National Department of Public Works, will focus on Craft Development, Mural Art Development and Tour Guide training and Township history data collection. The municipality has called on candidates to join the programme to be trained in the art components mentioned above. Preference will be given to youth women and disabled candidates.
