The DA led coalition in Mogale City managed to overcome a series of intentional disruptions and cancellations of crucial council meetings to pass the adjustments budget, the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and fill vacant posts.
By doing this the council have complied with the regulations and are on track to hold IDP public meetings (the first one has already been held this week) and use the information gained to integrate the IDP into the draft budget that must be tabled within two months.
Despite attempts to disrupt the meeting, the needs assessment questionnaires were distributed to the resident who attended the IDP public participation event.
