Councillor Anda Ntsodo, the City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Area East, joined front-line service delivery staff to bring services to our residents of Mfuleni and to explain the City’s new way of working, called the Organisational Development and Transformation Plan (ODTP). At its heart, this plan aims to transform the work of this organisation in order to transform lives. Read more below:
Approximately 300 residents attended the official opening of this ODTP roadshow at the Mfuleni Community Hall, while about 600 residents passed through the expo where City staff were ready to assist with all manner of services. A total of 10 City departments attended the service delivery expo.
The most popular services were the registration for new housing opportunities and the chance for existing applicants to update their details on the housing database.
‘I also spent some time on a walkabout talking to our residents about the ODTP and how this process aims to deliver services that focus on our residents and ensure that they are at the centre of the City’s philosophy, operations and ideas.
‘We are ready to do things differently. In Cape Town, we are fortunate to start from a high benchmark as it pertains to service delivery but by ensuring that we focus on the needs of our residents, especially our most vulnerable, we will be able to take service delivery to the next level,’ said Councillor Ntsodo.
ODTP roadshows are taking place across the metro.
