The latest bacteriological results of Oudtshoorn’s drinking water indicate a noticeable improvement in the quality of our water. Although we are confident that our water poses no health risk for our consumers, we are compelled by law to issue a warning to consumers about potential health risks involved when drinking our water.
Thus, our recommendation that tap water should first be boiled before being consumed, still applies. We will continue to conduct tests on a regular basis and will keep residents informed regarding this issue.
