Its been described as the “jewel” in the crown of the Langeberg Municipal and it is expected to make a positive impact on the lives of community members. The new Ashbury Library, built at a cost of just over R6m, will be promoted as not only a source of information but also a place where job seekers can expand their search for employment.
The Langeberg Municipality welcomes the opportunity the library and its computer section will offer to school children in completing tasks and projects, job seekers who can use the internet for finding work opportunities and the general public who can source information, magazines, photocopying facilities and CD’s and DVD’s.
The library staff will offer computer training and educational programs for learners.
This welcome resource has been described as not just a building that keeps books but a new world for the communities of Montague and Ashbury.
