On Monday, 05th of June 2017, the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Environment and Infrastructure Services, Cllr Nico de Jager, the High Commissioner of Canada to South Africa, Ms. Sandra McCardell, and International Climate and Human Rights Activist, Ms. Catherine Constantinides, will take part in the #WasteStopsWithMe clean-up campaign taking place in Soweto.
This campaign forms part of the World Environment Day celebrations for the Miss Earth South Africa Leadership programme in partnership with the City of Joburg and Pikitup.
The #WasteStopsWithMe campaign strives to encourage people across South Africa to understand the role that they play in conserving the environments every day.
