The DA-led City of Tshwane Municipality, in its unwavering commitment to stabilise, revitalise and deliver on the pre-election campaign promises made to Tshwane residents, has appointed competent candidates as Group Heads within the City’s various departments.
The appointment of the Group Heads, paves the way to delivering better services and aiding to create a Tshwane of opportunity over the next five years.
Executive Mayor, Solly Msimanga, said the appointments within strategic management positions are critical in stabilising the city. “I am confident that we have assembled the best possible team to turn this ship around. These appointments follows the recent seven strategic appointments we announced in June and forms part of our collective effort to stabilize this very important institution”.
The City of Tshwane is pleased to welcome the following executives to their new positions most of whom will be reporting for duty effective from 01 August 2017.
- Mr SR Notoane: Group Head: Utility Services
- Mr SS Mekhoe: Community and Social Development Services
- Mr GM Shingange: Group Human Capital Management
- Ms Z Ntsikeni: Customer Relations Management [assumes office on 01 October 2017]
- Ms N Memela: Housing and Human Settlement
- Ms V Morgan: Group Head: Group Property [assumes position on 01 October 2017]
The Group Head positions for the Department of Health; Environmental and Agriculture Management and Roads and Transport are yet to accept their offers.
Groups Heads for Shared Services and Group Legal and Secretariat Services positions will be going out on advert soon. The City encourages eligible candidates who are ready to turn the city around and to serve the needs of the people to apply.
The recruitment process for the positions of Economic Development and Spatial Planning and Regional Operations and Coordination Group Heads are still underway and will completed in due course.
This administration will continue to honour the commitments it made to all the people of Tshwane; to be a government that they can be proud of.
