Breede Valley Municipality Shows Its Caring Side

24 Jan 2019 in Where We Govern

Breede Valley municipality is assisting rural school children with their hair needs by ensuring that they are ready for school from head to toe.

Executive Mayor Antoinette Steyn realised that there was a need in farming communities for assistance with the hair care of school children. Every month Mayor Steyn assembles a group of children living on farms and ensures that they get their hair done. The Mayor sees to it that the girls have their hair washed and plaited and that the boys have their hair washed and cut.

According to Mayor Steyn this small act is a way to ensure that the DA difference is felt by all in her community.
