Creating Opportunities for Rural Matriculants

In an effort to bridge the gap that exists between urban and rural scholars, DA-led Drakenstein municipality has designated bursaries to assist matriculants from rural high schools with their tertiary education.

Drakenstein municipality’s departments of Rural Development and Corporate Services collaborated to give nine matriculants bursaries to further their studies at different tertiary institutions.

Executive Mayor Conrad Poole said that this initiative is a way to ensure that all scholars within Drakenstein municipality have an equal opportunity toward bettering their future.
