Metrobus opens additional sales outlets

14 Oct 2019 in Where We Govern

Thursday, 10 October 2019, Johannesburg Metrobus, which serves over 11 million passengers every year, opened three additional sales outlets in Soweto’s Protea North, Eldorado Park and Thuso House in Braamfontein.

These new outlets allows passengers easier access to public transport. The additions drive Metrobus’ vision of ensuring that all seven regions across the City of Johannesburg have sales outlets where passengers can buy and load tags.

Furthermore, these additional outlets will help reduce the snake queues and long waiting times at Gandhi Square and add to the four established sales outlets.

As we continue to celebrate Transport Month this October, we take pride in opening more of these centres which will help improve the use of public transport in and around the city. This ultimately reduces the level of traffic congestion on our roads.

Today’s opening speak to the mayoral priority to run a pro-poor government is envisioned by taking basic services closer to where people live, work and play.

With a Randburg sales outlet opening soon, Metrobus will indeed continue to respond to the needs of the people it serves.
