Mayor Phalatse’s vision of a vibrant, safe and resilient city where local government delivers quality life for every resident speaks to the heart of the DA’s manifesto promises for our great city and demonstrates our clear commitment to the residents of Johannesburg.
The Golden Start of the multi-party government has in a few short months delivered solid wins, including:
- Improved safety through dedicated JMPD operations.
- Renewed roads through the Mayor’s A re Sebetseng programme.
- Two new clinics opened in Soweto and Roodepoort.
- An expansion of the DA’s Debt Rehabilitation Programme to assist residents who are facing tough economic times,
- Improved revenue collection through the Mayor’s Buya Mthetho programme.
- Increased enforcement of building and planning by-laws, and putting the City 100% back to work.
This is proof that the DA gets things done, and with such a positive start, we are confident that the next five years will see residents get the quality services that they deserve, and see increased economic activity and employment through a revitalised City that attracts investors and tourists alike.
