The Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni Ald. Tania Campbell received her COVID-19 booster shot at the Germiston clinic, as a gesture to mark expansion of COVID-19 vaccine sites to Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities.

“Our clinics are now one-stop-shops. Ekurhuleni residents can now get their vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccines, at any of our health facilities,” Mayor Campbell said.

The Mayor further stated that it is necessary for residents to get their booster shots to help strengthen their immunity, not only for themselves but also for those around them.

The integration of COVID-19 vaccines into PHC services is one of the city’s initiatives geared towards increasing convenience and accessibility of vaccines.
