Provincial Campaign Coordinator, Eastern Cape

The DA wishes to appoint a dynamic, self-motivated and goal driven individual, who will be based in the Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will report to the Provincial Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Ensuring the effective and efficient co-ordination of the following in the province:

  • Planning and executing of all political activities
  • Designing and implementing campaigns that address identified issues
  • Overseeing all event operations
  • Obtaining and consolidating reports on political activity
  • Providing reports, data and spreadsheet analyses of the Party’s performance
  • Coordinating and implementing effective ways of communicating with voters
  • Overseeing party volunteer and activist programs
  • Ensuring that there is a permanent on-going registration campaign
  • Monitoring and managing all by-elections o Leading and managing a large team of Constituency
  • Coordinators spread across the province

Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent
  • Tertiary qualification advantageous
  • 3 years’ experience in a management position
  • 3 years’ experience in an operation or campaign focused role
  • Experience in procurement and logistics
  • Experience in project management
  • Understanding of basic financial principles
  • Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational abilities
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in in more than one language
  • Ability to apply sound political judgment and the ability to identify key issues relevant to communities
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the South African political landscape
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Party
  • Ability to build trust relationships within a community
  • Proven record of initiative, problem solving, and the ability to recognize and implement improvements to systems
  • Commitment to the principles, policies, and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
  • An ability to work effectively and energetically around a demanding work schedule
  • Applicants MUST be in possession of a valid driver’s licence and have access to an insured vehicle for daily use
