Regional Campaign Coordinator, Gauteng East

The DA wishes to appoint a dynamic, self-motivated and goal driven individual in Gauteng East. The
successful candidate will report to the Provincial Campaign Operations Manager, with an indirect reporting line to the Provincial Director. 

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Planning and implementing a programme of ongoing voter interaction and persuasion
  • Overseeing the recruitment, training and organising of staff and activist in each structure within the
    region
  • Ensuring clear internal communicatio
  • Assisting with any By-Election campaigns, where required
  • Ensuring reliable feedback and reporting on the progress from the Constituencies
  • Ensuring interaction and communication between the political structures
  •  Ensuring that the required constituency and ward report back meetings are organised and supported

Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience in project and financial management
  • Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in more than one language
  • The ability to apply sound political judgment and the ability to identify key issues relevant to
    communities
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the South African political landscape
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Party
  • Proven record of initiative, problem solving, and the ability to recognize and implement improvements to systems
  • Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail
  • Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
  • Self-motivated and dynamic
  • Produce accurate, high-quality work in line with the standards required
  • Must be a team player
  • Outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated
  • Willingness to go the extra mile, which may include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary
  • Applicants MUST be in possession of a valid driver’s licence and a vehicle for daily use
