Research Data Capturers & Office Assistants, Mpumalanga (Fixed Term Contract Ending One Day After The Local Government Election in 2021)

The DA wishes to appoint dynamic, self-motivated and goal driven individuals, who will be based in Mpumalanga. The successful candidates will be key members of the DA’s Legislature Team and will report to the Provincial Corporate Services Manager, with an indirect reporting line to the Provincial Head of Legislature and Provincial Director. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative assistance to the Legislature and Provincial Officer
  •  Effective and efficient data capturing
  • Quality assurance of data captured

Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent
  • Computer literacy essential, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in a capturing and/or quality control field is advantageous
  • Ability to produce accurate reports and provide regular feedback to various stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to speak, read and write at least two of the official languages
  •  Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Self-motivated and dynamic with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to produce accurate, high quality work in line with specific standards
  • Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
  • Outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated
  • Willingness to go the extra mile, which may include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary
