Overstrand Executive Mayor Dudley is committed to good governance in all Overstrand communities.
Following a career in commercial vehicle transport, Dudley moved to Overstrand and became actively involved with the DA in 2005. He served as a member of his ward committee in Overstrand Municipality and in 2011 he was elected as a ward councillor.
Dudley was elected to the position of treasurer for the Overstrand Constituency in 2013, and in 2014 he was elected as chairman of the constituency, a position he still holds.
Dudley was also elected as a member of the Overstrand Mayoral Committee in 2014 as the chairman of the Finance Portfolio. In 2016 he was elected as deputy mayor while retaining his position as mayoral committee member for the Finance Portfolio.
After the sudden passing of Executive Mayor Rudolph Smith, he was elected into this position in February 2018.
