Patricia Kopane

Free State Provincial Leader, MP

Semakaleng Patricia Kopane worked both as a professional nurse and for the Cancer Association of South Africa.

Patricia joined the Democratic Alliance (DA) in 2003. She became a DA councillor for Mangaung in 2006, and she became a member of Parliament in  2009.

Patricia was the DA spokesperson for Social Development and, what was then, Health.

She has been the leader of DA in the Free State province for two terms, and is currently the DA’s shadow minister of Health.

Patricia wants to bring about change in people’s lives – whether as a nurse or a politician, she cares a lot about other people.

She is also a member of the DA Federal Council and serves in the Legal Council, providing legal background to those in leadership.
