Getting to know Rowena Bosman
Your candidate, Rowena Bosman, has been a proud resident of Ward 110 for the past 5 years.
She started her career in the retail industry and then moved into the property sector in 2006, opening her own company, Megadon Properties.
Rowena is committed to community initiatives and has been a member of Lions International for over 10 years as well as being an active member of ratepayers associations and CPFs wherever she has resided.
Rowena also spearheads an incredible initiative called Papillion, assisting learners who would otherwise be unable to afford matric dance outfits.
In Ward 110, Rowena has been actively involved with the DA and in escalating municipal issues alongside DA councillors for the past 18 months.
Rowena is the proud mom of two children and enjoys an outdoor lifestyle when she has the time!
“My motivation to become a public representative lies in my passion to drive effective service delivery that meets the needs of all community members. I believe in the power of good governance to improve the lives of all, ensuring accessible, efficient, and responsive public services.” – Rowena Bosman
My priorities:
Protecting the Environment
I will find solutions to the ongoing dumping plague in Ward 110. Working with security companies to install cameras, we can move aggressively to identify culprits and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.
In addition, I will tackle the shortage of DSW trucks allocated to Ward 110 to ensure efficient collection of rubbish.
Water and electricity infrastructure
I will join the DA fight to regularise water and electricity infrastructure in Ward 110. The current situation is completely unacceptable, and solutions have to be found at municipal, provincial and national levels.
Traffic management
I will fight for Metro Police involvement to curb the ingress of heavy-duty trucks in suburban areas, which destroy the road surface infrastructure.
Essential infrastructure in W110
I commit myself to the urgent upgrade of streetlights across the Ward and the rehabilitation of the link bridge in Mount Moriah and Mount Royale.
