• Mitchell is the DA’s candidate and is a proud, lifelong resident of Barrydale.
• He was a Barrydale police inspector for 16 years.
• He was Barrydale’s town manager and currently serves as Swellendam’s deputy mayor.
• Safety is very important to Mitchell. He chairs the local CPF and is also a member of the Social Development Committee.
• Mitchell was instrumental to help ensure that 87 houses are currently being built in Ward 2, Barrydale.
• He is a deeply religious person and has received a pastoral diploma.
• He is married and has 3 children. He enjoys working in the community and loves nature.

MY PRIORITIES:

• I want to assure residents that I will continue to communicate their issues to Municipal departments and track the progress until it is resolved.
• I will ensure that the housing waiting list is kept up to date and that the housing department regularly visits our ward for possible development.
• I will ensure that EPWP jobs are allocated fairly to help promote job creation in our ward.
• I will fight to ensure that dirt roads are tarred and maintained. I will also work to have speed bumps built.
