Getting to know Tiaan Dippenaar

Your DA candidate, Tiaan Dippenaar, has been an active resident of Ward 56 for many years. He has been an activist in Pretoria Old East and is passionate about community service and leadership development.

He is interested in International Relations and believes that we have a beautiful country that we have to look after.  He enjoys gardening as a hobby.

“I want to create a difference in the community. I believe that Brooklyn and Hatfield should be safe and secure environments for its residents where they can accomplish their goals. I am passionate about preserving nature in our city and firmly believe in having recreational spaces for residents. I will fight for the residents to ensure that we receive effective service delivery.”

My Priorities:

Community Safety

I will work closely with the neighbourhood watch, the Hatfield CID, SAPS and TMPD, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure that our community is safe, with working streetlights and adequate protection for residents. We want to protect our residents and property owners against break-ins and other crime. I want to ensure that students can flourish with their studies and be able to relax in a safe environment.

Well-maintained Infrastructure

I will ensure that the residents of the ward receive effective service delivery and that the infrastructure throughout the neighbourhood is well looked after. I will also support a variety of Community Upliftment Projects to uplift our neighbourhood.

Protecting the environment

I am passionate about conservation and sustainability. I will work hard to ensure that we protect and expand our green spaces, to make the neighbourhood more pedestrian-friendly, and to ensure that endangered species and delicate habitats are protected and preserved.
