My priorities:
-
Service delivery: I will work closely with the municipality to ensure that every resident receives only the best services. I will follow up on all complaints that have been reported and give our residents feedback with the outcome. Not one person should be without basic services like water and electricity.
-
Illegal dumping and sewage: I will work closely with the municipality and help to get sewage systems repaired to a functioning state. I will monitor refuse collections and follow up with the department where this is not up to standard.
-
Unemployment: I will fight for unemployed residents in the ward, I will fight that all the job opportunities are fairly allocated. I will also focus on skills development.
-
Healthcare: I will work closely with the health department to ensure that all our residents receive the best healthcare. I will have meetings with the stakeholders to see how we can improve our health care facilities.
-
Housing: Housing is a major concern in the ward and I will work closely with the relative departments and raise all the concerns with them. I will keep our residents updated on the progress and outcome.
“I believe that every resident has the right to basic services. I will work closely with the municipality to resolve all the concerns of our residents. I will fight for each and every one in council.”
