At Premier, Alan Winde’s, historic State of the Province Address (SOPA), he reaffirmed the DA’s commitment to building a prosperous nation and putting the people first through ground-breaking initiatives that enable his government to deliver services as well as a stable working economy.

SOPA highlights

👮 The biggest provincial safety plan in SA is well underway, aiming to halve the murder rate.

💻  1 118 young people will start on-the-job training this year thanks to the Premier’s Advancement of Youth Internship Programme.

💡 The province is on track to become the first loadshedding-free province in SA thanks to our Eskom-independence strategy.

✍ With more learners staying in school through to matric, children have a better chance of getting ahead in the DA-run Western Cape.

🏠 In the space of just six months, 1,144 title deeds were handed over to beneficiaries, making these citizens real owners of their homes.

🔍 In line with the DA’s commitment to fighting corruption, lifestyle audits were instituted for all members of the Western Cape cabinet, and the provincial ministerial handbook was reviewed in order to continue saving hundreds of millions of Rands.

Whilst there is much more still to achieve, this is the #DAdelivers promise in action!
