The DA is satisfied with IEC performance so far today, and voters can be confident that their IEC Voting Station is open, and should go out now to check their Registration.
The DA is present at thousands of Voting Stations to assist DA supporters. The DA reminds South Africans: If you do not become correctly registered, you cannot vote where you live on Election Day in November.
The DA is pleased with turnout so far, and we are seeing higher than expected turnout at many DA stronghold Voting Stations.
This is indicative of a trend in recent weeks – Momentum for DA registrations has in fact never been better.
The DA has gone into this Voter Registration Weekend having already assisted hundreds of thousands of DA supporters to register online.
The DA has to date in this Registration Campaign, already assisted over 215,000 DA supporters to register online to vote. This took place before the Voter Registration Weekend began.
The DA saw a significant surge in online registration assistance requests in the past three weeks. The DA has assisted 99,705 supporters to become correctly registered in just the past 30 days.
This is the biggest surge in voter registrations in the DA’s history.
The DA can also announce today that we are now out-registering the ANC in at least 66 Municipalities so far, across South Africa.
This means that in these Municipalities more DA supporters are being added to the Voters Roll than ANC supporters, making the swing vote in the November Election far stronger.
In this Voter Registration Campaign the DA has embraced technology like never before. And this has worked to make it easier for our supporters to get DA help to register.
The DA is proud of these technological advancements which make it easier for our supporters to reach us.
If there is a DA supporter out there doubting your registration, please go now to your Voting Station and Register to Vote. Or check your Registration online at check.da.org.za.
Please do not wait to get correctly registered. If you do not become correctly registered now, you cannot vote in November.
